Presenters provide valuable clinical update

The Royal Hobart Hospital hosted the 2011 APodA Tasmania Diabetes Update seImageminar, attracting a large contingent of Tasmanian podiatrists. Rajna Ogrin, Shan Bergin and Byron Perrin provided the audience with an update of best practice in the areas of neurological and vascular assessment, neuropathic arthropathies and the prevention of ulceration. The day was composed of both practical and theoretical sessions, providing practitioners with elements to transfer into their clinical practice. The event was well supported by Briggate Medical, who provided equipment for practical sessions and valuable input into the use of diagnostic arterial and microvascular devices.

Campbell Town will host the next event in the APodA Tasmania continuing education series, which will be combined with the association’s AGM. Registration forms will be available through the website shortly and emailed to members.

The pathophysiology and assessment presentations are available at the conclusion of this page, which have been kindly provided by Rajna Ogrin.
